Apron
Elegance was born of Rachel’s belief: Home is
the ultimate dining destination. A playful
combination of fondness for 1940s fashion design
and artful entertaining set her on a quest to
create the perfect hostess apron. In 2005, she
began experimenting with antique patterns and
luxurious fabrics until she had a satin-lined
bombshell fringed with a flirty tutu and
bejeweled buttons. Women visiting her home
loved the elegance of the aprons and began to
ask for them to give as gifts and wear for
holiday parties.
This
journey of discovery, the act of lovingly hand
sewing beautiful aprons, and the realization
that women are the occasion for beauty, not
events, led Rachel to found the company Apron
Elegance. She continues to work to infuse fun
and glamour into the home sphere of family
experience, where women spend most of their time
entertaining, celebrating, and making memories.
Rachel
lives with her husband Justus and her Portuguese
waterdog Annabelle in Minnesota.
